Aluminium Description

Aluminium Alloy 2011 T3 is known as a free machining alloy (FMA) and has excellent machinability and is particularly well suited for use on automatic lathes for component production. The alloy displays poor corrosion resistance and therefore, anodising will be required for additional surface protection. Whilst weldability is also very poor, 2011 T3 is a highly versatile aluminium. With its excellent machinability, the material can be used to produce highly complex and detailed parts and typical applications include, automotive Components, appliance parts, fasteners & fittings.
